Publication of SIS

SIS publications discuss matters of professional interest, means of improving the education and the performance of the information services by the application of the latest available technology. The Society has been bringing out since 1981 a monthly entitled SISCOM (Society for Information Science Communication) with the aim of keeping its members informed about day-to-day activities. It has also been bringing out a publication SISTRANS (Society for Information Science Transaction) since July, 1982. So far 14 issues of SISTRAN have been brought out. The proceedings and papers presented at various seminars and Annual conventions and conferences are published normally as SISTRANS. Besides these publications, the Society was also responsible for bringing out NISSAT Newsletter on behalf of Department of Science and Industrial Research, Govt. of India.
